US Customs Vehicle Clearance

Effective May 2020, SEACOR Island Lines is now offering U.S. Customs clearance at a cost of $125 per unit for vehicles and rolling stock units.

A booking will be required prior to delivery of vehicles & rolling stock units – Please email your SIL documentation/logistics coordinator or customerservice@seacorislandlines.com your request.

  • Information required for the booking:
  • Shipper information – contact name and number
  • Consignee information –contact name and number
  • Trucker contact – if required
  • Port of Discharge required
  • Commodity description – make, model, year, color, vin #
  • Special Handling – if required
  • Standard Disclosures & Requirements Prior to Delivery
    • Federal regulations (CFR 176.905[d]) require that there is less than ¼ tank of fuel
      • Propane tanks must be empty
  • Remove all loose items and personal effects from the vehicle, including the trunk. If you wish to ship personal effects, the cargo must be packed for export and Seacor Island Lines will ship that cargo as LCL at an additional cost. An itemized Packing List with an estimated value per box is required by U.S. Customs
  • Submit completed Vehicle Declaration Form – link found on SIL website
  • Provide USCBP Procedures for clearing self-propelled units – link found on SIL website

    • Closed 12-1pm daily
    • Closed Saturday/Sunday
