Vehicle Receiving Procedure


In an effort to improve customer service and reliability, effective Monday December 2nd, 2019 the new process for rolling stock units and vehicle receiving will be as follows:

A booking will be required prior to delivery of vehicles & rolling stock units – Please email your SIL documentation/logistics coordinator or your request.


  • Information required for the booking:
    • Shipper information – contact name and number
    • Consignee information –contact name and number
    • Trucker contact – if required
    • Port of Discharge required
    • Commodity description – make, model, year, color, vin #
    • Special Handling – if required


  • Standard Disclosures & Requirements Prior to Delivery
    • Federal regulations (CFR 176.905[d]) require that there is less than ¼ tank of fuel
      • Propane tanks must be empty
    • Remove all loose items and personal effects from the vehicle, including the trunk. If you wish to ship personal effects, the cargo must be packed for export and Seacor Island Lines will ship that cargo as LCL at an additional cost. An itemized Packing List with an estimated value per box is required by U.S. Customs
    • Submit completed Vehicle Declaration Form - link found on website
    • Provide USCBP Procedures for clearing self-propelled units – link found on website
  • Vehicle Receiving Yard – 951 NE 7th Ave Dania Beach, FL 33004
    • Monday-Friday 9am-4pm
    • Closed 12-1pm daily
    • Closed Saturday/Sunday

NOTE: All customers are responsible for US Customs clearance and must provide broker information at the time of booking. Please note that customers are responsible for all original documentation and title certificates. SEACOR does not require or accept original title certificates. Copies may be sent via email.

Standard detention/demurrage and storage rates apply. Insurance clause per SIL terms and conditions. Non-running vehicles are subject to additional fees and must be approved prior to delivery.
